About a minute for the preview. Most portraits are ready in 40 to 70 seconds after your photo uploads. You can switch tabs while it paints; the tab title changes when it is done.

That is the whole point. Every portrait is made from your photo with strict likeness rules: same coat colors, markings, eye color, ear shape and expression. You see the result before you pay anything, so if it is not your pet, you simply don’t buy it.

Not yet. Each portrait shows one animal, because likeness drops when two pets share a painting. If your photo has two pets, we paint the most prominent one. You can make a separate portrait of each.

Yes, on the brass plaque under the preview and in the file name, and on the packing note of a canvas order. The painting itself never has text in it, so it stays clean for framing.

No. Portraits are made with AI from your photo, not painted by hand. That is why it takes a minute instead of weeks, and why you can see it before you pay.

Yes. Choose the "In Loving Memory" style: soft golden light, a calm expression and a few painted wildflowers. Any photo you love works, as long as the face is visible. The plaque can read "In loving memory" under the name.

A sharp phone photo taken at your pet’s eye level, with the face clearly visible, in daylight, and only one pet in the shot. At least 600 px on the short side. Blurry, dark or far-away photos make softer paintings.

We store your photo and portraits so you can see and download them from your account. We never use them in our examples or ads without asking. Email us and we will delete them. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

Yes. Your first portrait each day is free to preview, with a watermark. Add your email and you get 3 more free portraits. You only pay if you want the clean HD file or a canvas.

A clean JPG with no watermark at the full size the portrait was made (typically about 1024 x 1280 px), plus a print-ready version at twice that size (about 2048 x 2560 px). The exact pixel size is shown next to the download button. A Portrait Pass starts at $9 and unlocks every portrait in your account.

No. Every purchase is a one-time payment. Nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel.

Yes. If your portrait doesn't look like your pet, email hello@petportraitfromphotos.com within 14 days of purchase and we will refund your pass. See our Terms for the details.

Two gallery-wrapped sizes: 8x10 in (20 x 25 cm) and 16x20 in (40 x 50 cm), from $45 with standard shipping included. We ship to the US, the UK, Canada and Australia.

Printing and shipping take about 5 to 9 business days in total. You get an email when the order is placed and when it ships.

Send a photo of the damage to hello@petportraitfromphotos.com within 30 days of delivery and we will reprint it free. No need to send the canvas back.
